REFILL, DON’T LANDFILL
Did you know that….
-Over 700 million inkjet cartridges were thrown away last year?
-8 cartridges are thrown away each second?
-A cartridge can take over 1,000 years to decompose?
-1.5 pints of crude oil is needed to produce one inkjet cartridge?
-Approximately 90% of cartridges can be refilled and only
20% are?
Do you want to do something about it?
You can save money, be green, and help Westland all at the same time!
Westland MS has partnered with Wordex Corporation to establish an inkjet refill program. You’ll save up to 50% over buying new and Westland PTA will receive $3 for every refilled cartridge!
You can take your empty cartridges to Wordex for immediate exchange.
Here’s how it works:
Check out the Wordex website to see what inkjet products are available for refill, www.atwordex.com - log in using the User ID - WMSREFILL and Password – REFILL; click on “YOUR CONTRACT ITEMS”. For information on laser cartridges you must call them directly at 301-656-4737

Then, take your used inkjet or laser printer cartridge to the convenient Wordex location at 4808 Auburn Ave in Bethesda. Be sure to mention that you are part of the Westland MS fundraiser, so that we will be credited. Give them your empty cartridge, and they will immediately give you another, refilled cartridge. NOTE: There is a $2 markup over the normal price, and Wordex will contribute $1 of their own profit, to give us a $3 total donation. This is a significant donation for a very easy task, and you have the satisfaction of keeping those plastics and chemicals out of a landfill while saving money.
If a refilled cartridge does not perform to your satisfaction, Wordex will replace it, or refund your purchase price.
